Default Help with 4hi 4lo switch

Well Im new to the forums and I tried searching this topic. Although i think the no result found is user error im going to ask here.

I just bought a 1993 Chevy blazer. 4dr 4x4 auto with the 4.3L vortec and its an automatic. It has 258k miles on it. The 4hi 4 lo switch doesn't do anything. When I press it, the top little green light doesn't blink or flash or even turn on. When i switch it to 4lo nothing happens either. I don't hear any noise's from any part of the vehicle or feel anything at all.

I have never owned a 4x4, and have no experience working on this. Can anyone please shed some light on this? I checked the fuses and didnt see any bad ones.

Other then this it runs beautifully. I need to have all the fluids flushed and thats something I can do myself. But overall Im very happy with it and excited to own a blazer

Take a look at the thread below:
NV233 transfer case / encoding motor switch

It has the typical failures. Yours may just be that the switch is not getting power. My reply to that thread contains some reference articles as well as wiring diagrams at the bottom.
