Default Help picking new shocks.

So, I have a stock 98 Blazer 4X4 4-door. I'm looking for new shocks. I want the smoothest ride possible. It never goes off road and never hauls a load; it's a DD.
I'm not looking for Cadillac smooth but I want something better than the OEM Sherman Tank that I'm running now. They are the original shocks so I'm sure anything new will be better. Here's some that I've looked at and their price ranges. Any of them stand out above the others?

$25 range: KYB 344040/344041, ACDelco 520-27/520-30, Gabriel Pro Guard 61531/61528, Monroe Gas-Matic LT 59302/59303

$30-40 Range: Gabriel Ultra G63423/G63422, ACDelco Premium 530157/530158, Monroe Sensa-Trac 37099/37021

I've seen other Premium Delcos for $60+ but I'm unsure how much of an improvement they'll be over the others. Any suggestions?

Also, is their a stabilizer shock on the steering whis this Blazer and it seems I'm missing the rubber bumper that keeps you from bottoming out on the passenger side control arm area. Anyone have a part# for these and how do they attach? Thanks in advance.

The Monroe Sensa-Trac is a very smooth ride shock. I don't have much experience with the others, but I'd bet the Delcos would be a decent choice too.

The standard 2nd generation Blazers do not have a steering stabilizer, although at least some of the ZR2s do.

Sorry for the late reply. Grandmother is sick and been running in and out of town.

I too was thinking the Sensa-Trac would be the best bet but don't know if they'd be better than the Delcos. The ones installed are stock, I believe. The are, or at least were, bright orange which from what I've read is a sign that they're stock.

Do you use the Sensa-Trac yourself and if so are they the regular or Pro ones?

I do not have them on my Blazer. I just put a set of Monroe's on my Durango and I really love the ride. Very nice and smooth, without being soft and squishy. The perfect amount of dampening for my needs.

The roads here in Edmonton are horrible. Edmonton doesn't believe in upgrading roads; they just patch hole after hole, and every single patch in the city breaks up every spring. A lot of the roads here are more patch than anything else and it's hard to find sections of original pavement. It's very hard on vehicle suspensions.

I have Monroe Air shocks on the rear and love them because of the adjustability

I got a set of Rancho RS9000's the ones with a 9 different settings of adjustments for the valve. Have not played with them that much but them seem to work well. I got them for $250 after a $100 MIR but that deal is over.

I was just shopping advance auto online and they have a 20% discount with P20 as the discount code and free shipping over$75 for the monroe sensatracs. I was considering the adjustable coil sensatracs for the rear.
