Default Install front shocks & front body mount

Concerning my 1994 S-10 Blazer 4x4:
Looking at the top mount for the front shocks, I see little room to engage socket wrench. A shop manual suggests using pliers. How do you people do it?
Recently, the right front body mount fell off. Just the bottom piece w/rubber cushion. No new rattles, but, how to install replacement?

Thank you for any help, Major Tom

Must be Haynes or Chilton, both are worthless. Use a deep socket & ratchet on each end, nothin' to it.

Body mounts are through bolted, usually rusty as hell, might want to use an impact gun for that.
