Default leaf spring shackles

Hey I have a 1995 GMC Jimmy. I took the leaf springs out of the vehicle to see if the bushings were good- now I can't remember what position the shackles in the rear were. I'm almost positive the shackles were straight vertical but if someone could verify this for me I would really appreciate it. Would it make a difference if they were angled backwards a little bit in ride height/handling? The vehicle feels like it moves side to side in the rear when accelerating/decelerating. Still trying to find out what it could be. Thanks.

They're mounted vertically, but as far as I know they pivot to allow for movement in the leaf spring. As for the rocking motion, I have no ideas as to what that could be.
