left front - Popping/clunking noise
I have a 2000 Jimmy 4wd. I hear a popping noise from the drivers side when I take off, stop quickly or hit a substantial bump in the road. I have replaced the cv halfsaft, both upper & lower ball joints on this side and the wheel hubs/bearings on both sides. I have greased the entire front end and I still hear this sound!?! The truck drives great and doesn't pull in either direction. As you can tell I am mechanically inclined and would like figure out and repair this myself. Any suguestions or ideas will be greatly appreciated.

Maybe a shock or the other cv shaft?

This YouTube video explains a noise often mistaken for frontend problems. It's worth a look http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=97PUO-BDM0o

CV joint is fine, so was the one I replaced, shocks were my next guess too. Could something w/brakes cause this? It has new brakes front and rear, BTW sometimes you can feel the popping/snaping in your feet!?! Thanks for the reply!!
