Default Leveling/body lift/bigger tires.

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and have a limited knowledge when it comes to cars.

I have a '96 GMC Jimmy 2WD that I would like to put bigger tires on and a 2" lift. I am wondering which is the best option for me. My main goal is to get bigger/wider tires (at least 30'') and to level out my truck.

Since I just want to level it, would a 2'' leveling kit be my best option, or would a 2'' body lift be better for the car. Are there other options as well?

Also, with it lifted 2'' what would be the max tire size that I could run with no, or minimal modifications? Right now I am looking at getting something around 245/75/15 or 30''. With the lift what would be good size to fill in the gap in the wheel wells and increase traction in some mud?

Thanks in advance for any help. And keep in mind that I am short on cash and would like to do this for a good price.

get the body lift.

31x10.50x15 is the biggest you can go

I had 31x10.5x15s on mine all I did was crank the torsion bars up. I had slight rubbing when turning the wheel as far as it would go but in the real driving situations I never had a problem.

You already have a post going regarding lift. Please do not double post your questions, it is against the forum rules. I believe this is my second time telling you this. If you have another question related to your original question you can post it in your original thread. Thank you.
