RE: Link to reset four wheel drive buttons
I don't think there is a way to "reset" the 4x4. You need to explain the symtoms & someone will give advice or point you in the right direction. As I understand it, disconnecting the battery will only erase/resetany codes in the computer making it difficult to diagnose the problem. It may just be a faulty switch on the dash. You may need to check for leaks in the vacuum lines first. This I think is the most probable cause. From there it gets tricky, trust me, I've just been throught it & ended up replacing the t/case. Thank "whoever" for extended waranties. LOL. Then there's the vacuum actuator (under the battery), the TCCM (in the pass. kick panel), the transfer case switch (on the t/case) & finally the front axle. Hopefully yours is a simple problem.

RE: Link to reset four wheel drive buttons
We have changed all vacuum leaks ,changed out the value on the transfer case that goes to the vacuum it was froze in place , when we replaced the bearings and hooked up the cables we thought that maybe it would have to be reset for the 4 wheel drive lights to work they stay yellow maybe it does need a new switch , we also freed up the actuator I think that is what it is called ,thats why I was wondering if we took the battery cables off it would reset ,Let me know on this and thank you
