I have the rough country 2.5 and a 2 inch performance accessories body lift and im actually pretty content with the height and ride but reading up on all the problems people are having and how much of a pain the upper ball joints are to replace it makes me wonder about an sas swap

This is true! I should have thought of that since I live in a place where it is required but at least here as long as the "abs" AND "brake" lights aren't on at the same time you are good to go. ONe or the other can be on but not both. You can also delete the abs light from the dash. Of course if you live somewhere that actually somehow checks that the abs is functioning properly (not sure how they would but I'm sure there's a way) then you may have an issue.

straight axles you usually need a ball joint press and have to take off like 20 things to even get to the ball joints.
i would think if you do them once you should be good for a while. i did my sway back in like 07 and still rocking the original ball joints
