I have the rough country 2.5 and a 2 inch performance accessories body lift and im actually pretty content with the height and ride but reading up on all the problems people are having and how much of a pain the upper ball joints are to replace it makes me wonder about an sas swap

Of course if you live somewhere that actually somehow checks that the abs is functioning properly (not sure how they would but I'm sure there's a way) then you may have an issue.
in indiana they would just make you sign something saying that the abs, airbag, or whatever other light was on before they test your vehicle, more or less so they can say it was already on and they didnt screw it up

im so glad where im at now we have no emissions or inspections

are you worried about ball joints on the straight axle or the stock s10 suspension? s10s arent that bad, it just sucks cause they are rivited on so you spent a hour drilling or cutting them things off.

straight axles you usually need a ball joint press and have to take off like 20 things to even get to the ball joints.

i would think if you do them once you should be good for a while. i did my sway back in like 07 and still rocking the original ball joints
