Try a search for "lockers". You will find what you want there! It has been covered a number of timeswith some DIY tips included.

I realllllly hate the search functionality sometimes..I was going to link you some helpful threads..but..ill just post some info.
Basically, a full locker will be cheaper, and definitely get the job done, but will really cause some accelerated tire wear as if you throttle out of a corner, it will lock, and bark the tires. The best option for occasional offroading is a Limited Slip differential, but theyre a little more pricey.
To help you in looking online for some parts...youve got the GM 7.625' (or 7.5...same thing..) rear axle, and the GM 7.2' IFS front axle. If youre really serious about getting some better traction, consider swapping in a ZR2 rear axle. This would give you a GM 8.5' rear end, G80 gov-locker (working hopefully), and matching axle widths front and rear without spacers
. Another advantage of the 8.5' rear axle is that you open up to a few more options as far as brands and units available for more traction.

As Jason said, by far the cheapest and easiest to install option for your current rear end is a drop in locker, provided you have the open rear diff. But you will have some driveability and tread wear concerns with a "lunch-box" locker as they are called.

What do you mean only one tire spins?

I think he means per axle.

yes i ment liek my right front and rear will spin sometime when they are on ice and it wont help me move. if i got a zr2 rear end it would have some form of lockers? i just want to be able to lock the rear end, i would prefere not to have it locked all the time as i dont need to increase tire ware and other things, thanks for the help everyone guess i will save for a zr2 rear end that will probley be the best bet.

The ZR2 rear end will have the G80. Its a gov-locker, so it will lock up both axle shafts completely when one wheel spins something like 100 rpms faster than the other (wheel spin). But once youre going faster than 20 mph (i think thats the cutoff), the clutches open up completely and allow the diff to act like a normal open differential.
So..it locks when you need it, and does not affect turning.
but...theyre kinda known for failing early in their lives, or working sporadically. Like I said though, even if you upgrade and your G80 is toast, you have alot more options for lockers and LSDs with an 8.5' rear than a 7.5'.

as wolfpack said they are known for ****ting the bed i have one in my truck that will engage only when im moving the clutches are worn out and at the tme it only had 80k miles on it, one of your best bets is to get a zexel posi out of an Fbody camaro you can find them pretty cheap on ebay but everyone i know that has a busted g80 has switched to that, and with what wolf pack said about switching to teh zr2 axles im pretty sure they will stick out the sides, i know the rear end is around 1.5" wider on each side
