I believe I have a bad cv axle and bearing in the front of my 2000 4D LT blazer. I believe that the bearing that is bad is in the passenger side axle tube. I have replaced both front wheel bearing so I can rule them out. I need help identifing a replacement bearing and how to change it. Thanks.

Item #4 in THIS EXPLODED VIEW is the inner axle shaft bearing located on the outside end of the extension tube. GM part number is 26053326. You will also want to replace the lip seal, item #3 - GM PN 12471586.
To change it, I would recommend that you pull the passenger side extension housing from the truck and then work with it on a bench. A slide hammer should be all that is needed to get the bearing out once the axle shaft is out of the way.
Is there a lot of play in the halfshaft at the extension housing? I haven't seen many of these bearings go bad.

Thanks for the info. I haven't had a chance to examine it throughly but did get a spare front differential and cv axles out of a junk yard. Was thinking that if the bearing and cv axle is bad I am going to change the bearing and seal in the spare I got and swap them out. I used what free time I had getting the spare parts incase there is a internal problem with the differental.
