Default need help replacing reaer wheel seal.

i have a 2000 chevy blazer s10 4x4. a couplke of weeks ago it started leaking fluid from the rear passenger tire. got the caliper change because that was one of the problems then it continued to leak and was told that it was the rear wheel seal. it was leaking differential fluid from the axle seal. my problem is how do i remove the c-clip that holds the axle in place. the book says to turn the clip with the front ends toward the front and pull the clip but its not enough room to pull it out. any ideas?

Dont understand 'not enough room'. Did you pull the lock bolt and pin, then push the axle inward?

Did you check the bearing while the axle was out? The primary cause of leaky axle seals is sloppy bearings

First get a chiltons
then
Search youtube for extra info. There's a guy on there with a video that's about as basic as it gets

How to tell if you have a bad bearing: Buy a new one. Compare. Think about how bearings work, what they do and what they should feel like. Take the new one back if the old one isnt bad.
Look at axle. See shiny places near where bearing goes. Is place where bearing goes shiny? When axle was new it was all shiny smooth and same diameter.

You can get a "repair" bearing that will offset the stock wear locations. Just heard about them today when I was getting new bearings for mine.
