Default New shocks for zw7 Blazer

Hey all.
Great site with tons of info!
I have a 97 Blazer LT4x4 4 door, 207000km. My rpo says I have the zw7 suspension. It has orange bilsteins which I believe are stock. My question is are the rear shocks self leveling?

I've been pricing out new bilstein HDs but am not certain which shocks can be used on the rear end. Thanks.

I don't believe so those are the skinny ones that come on the non z85's which come with the beefier shocks. shocks won't be the culprit to sagging rear end thou if that is what you are thinking, the leaf springs are the deciding factor of your ride height in the back

No sag in the rear end, just a lot of km on what I believe to be original shocks. I'm only asking because when I search parts sites I see specific replacement shocks for zw7 front. Nothing stating for the rear.

Anyway, thanks for the reply. If they are not self leveling I should be able to replace with non oem monroe or bilstein. I keep finding sites for yukon/tahoe that state zw7 is self leveling. Just want to be sure, I think ill call a dealership and see what they have to say.

You can use any shock i had some really cheap rough country shocks and they were completely blown. The torsion bars will hold up the front end even if ur shocks are completely blown. If u dont min spending the extra cash i would recommend the bilstiens either the 4600 or the 5100 shocks they last forever and ride great

Thanks for the info! I'm definitely leaning toward the bilsteins. Mine have been great and have heard good things.
