Hello I have a 99 s10 blazer with a trashed transfer case. I was wondering if i can drop in a 246 in place of the old 236 without any modification. I like to go bigger stronger but with out modification because the 236 was a pain to take out so i dont have anymore room. but was wondering if the 246 and 236 is the same size just better components thank you

i would love an answer to this question too. I just lost my 236, and would like to upgrade, but I don't want to get into something totally insanely complicated. But I do want stronger parts, as when ever other parts have broke, I've upgraded them, not just replaced them.
