Default Parking Brake Linkage Frozen

I have a 2001 Blazer with four wheel disc brakes. I recently replaced the rear end due to a locked up differential. The parking brake linkage at both hubs is locked up due to rust. Are new parts available for this? Thanks for any help. Also, I am having trouble getting the universal joint out of the driveshaft. Is it possible that it is secured by dowel pins? It looks like there are dowel pins through it and I am having no luck trying to drive out the universal joint with a hammer and drift. Thanks again.

The factory U joint caps are held on with injected plastic that has to be heated with a torch and cooked out. Propane is hot enough and it expands out the hole where you see dowel pins. This clears out the groove for the clips that hold the new one.

I just replaced my parking brake hardware with a kit from oreillys last october.
