please help me confirm if shocks are bad
#1
Hello. Do I need new shocks if when driving, I can feel vibration as I run over gravel and rocks that are along the side of the road and such? ALSO when I pull into my dirt and gravel driveway [which is not level or even close to being flat] , my blazer has a motion similar to a boat in a sea storm with large waves- it takes a long moment for the blazer to stop from swaying like a boat.
I also have a very irritating squeeking noise coming from the back hatch glass or door on rubber, or the plastic cover which conceals the vehicle jack and tire changing iron.
Please help asap.

This squeeking noise is very irritating. All 4 wheels were balanced recently. THANKS AGAIN..

Yes you need new shocks.

Push down at each corner and see if the vehicle bounces through 2 or more cycles. If so, they are bad.

Been there
Pretty funny way of putting it but yes if shes a rockin then the shocks are toast. Have fun on those top bolts. Dang knuckle busting blazers.
As for the back window that thing will sqeak to hell or high waters no matter how many shocks you throw at it. lol

Door/jack cover squeak
I have to agree that your shocks are bad. As for the door/jack cover squeak, I ran a 3/8 in. foam strip all the way around both the door and the jack cover. Haven't noticed the squeaking since.

I'm ridin' the waterbed waves on mine as well. Just the fronts on mine though, back still seem fine. I'll be getting shocks if anyone can ever give me an answer to my few questions.

I hear ya. I bought mine a few months ago with bad shocks and no front swaybar. Do the math on navigating this thing around. I think that's today's project though.
