Default Question caster/camber bolts

Is there a particular reason the camber bolts (on the FWD front ends) have to be installed bolt head facing in instead of outside the control arm(s)?

I tried installing the bolts the opposite way, and saw that the bolts would rub the shock, or atleast extremely close.
