Rear Axle Seal Replacement

My daughter asked me to replace her rear axle seals on her 1996 Blazer(it didn't pass inspection). I've never had to do an axle seal replacement so I'm pretty much in the dark other then some links I've found a couple of forums.
The leak is at the end of the axle going onto the hub and not at the differential, but all the info I found talks about replacing the seals where the axle enters the diff. Is this the seal I need to replace or is there another one at the hub? I'm fairly mechanically inclined so I'm hoping this is something pretty straight forward to do (that's what the mechanic told my daughter).

yeah they are there, you will have to open up the dif cover and drain your fluid, you will have to remove your caliper and rotor or brake drum whatever the case may be. inside the diff there will be a small bolt holding in a center pin that keeps the axle shafts in place, you need to remove that bolt and take the center pin out, push the axle shaft inward and there will be a big c clip in there, take that out, be careful not to spin the axle shaft cause it will spit the spider gears out. when you pull out the axle shaft you will see the seal. you just have to pry it out of there somehow and replace it by taping the new one in place. if youre up for it might as well replace the other side since you have it torn apart
and since it failed inspection because of that, make sure you clean up the mess really good so they dont nitpick anymore
