I wouldn't hold my breath trying to get a reputable shop to install your existing gear set, especially with a botched install. Not that many places are competent to set up rear gears and fewer agree to do them. I predict it's gonna be expensive. I did my last ones myself and now I understand why.

Have you considered a complete rear from your local pick n pull junkyard?
