Default Rear end noise.

I just bought a 1998 4 door blazer with 125K on it last week. The Rear end makes a low humming noise when i go over like 60MPH. Mostly when I step on the gas. Any ideas what it could be. I was thinking it might need to be rebuilt. Hopefully not. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Eric

Default RE: Rear end noise.

Could just be an outer wheel bearing. If you jack up the rear end, can you feel play in the axle up/down?
