Rear end swap

So I was wondering can you swap a stock rear end on a 2000 LT blazer with a Dana 44?

If you can find a rodeo d44 that's not to hard of a swap the other common swap is the ford explorer 8.8. If your 4x4 you have to make sure you have matching gears and may need a different u-joint but it's not to hard.
