Rear piston won’t retract
Hello,
I was changing my rear pads and rotors on my 2021 Blazer. I had it in Service Mode and after I had the caliper off, the vehicle timed out and the Parking Brake engaged. There was no resistance so the piston came out really far. How can I get it to retract now? I tried disconnecting the power to the parking brake, using the brake tool but nothing is working. Any help please….

This may require a scan tool, but I do not know the exact procedure for this case.
In the future, I would recommend disconnecting the caliper electrical connector after putting the vehicle in service mode.

Thanks Guys. I ended up having to take the caliper apart. There’s a threaded flanged nut and bolt inside that came completely separated. That was crazy it kept going in and out of Service Mode on its own. When it would come out of Service Mode the caliper piston would come out all the way and would not go back in again. This is ridiculous on GM’s part! Even when I did the other side I had to keep messing with it to stay in Service Mode and retract the piston enough.
