not az,advance auto

I never thought to look at Advance auto for the bushings. I did check with them for the shackles. They didn't have them.

You need to measure the inside diameter of the spring. I got my bushings at Rubber Bushings - Leaf Spring Bushings | SD Truck Springs.
I didn't have my old shackles off yet when I ordered and took the parts reps advice and ordered the RB117. They are 1 1/2'' OD and were too small. My spring has a ID of 1 3/4'' and I had to reorder a set (4) of RB136 (1 3/4'' OD). They worked perfect but were way more expensive then the RB117s.

I looked at what Advance sells and they don't give any info on the diameter of the Moog. The Rare parts brand is a little over 1 1/2''. At least you can return them at the store if they are wrong. I have to pay shipping (around $15) to get my $18 back for the parts that were wrong.

If you check here https://blazerforum.com/forum/2nd-ge...hackles-67373/ you can see what I used to get them in the spring.

Again, if you can't get what you need from Advance I have four of the 1 1/2'' OD and two of the 1 3/4'' sitting here. If you need them I'm sure we can work something out.

wrong part...getting insane, the wrong part fits inside the old shell that i haven't yet butchered with the sazall.i think in my younger days, with a good torch,i would have blown the center out and not let burnning rubber bother me.

I used a drill and a propane torch to get the rubber out. All drill on the drivers side because I've always been afraid of fire near the gas tank and fill pipe. I also only cut the bolt head off ( with a grinder) and used a monkey wrench on the bolt to wiggle the bushing out after drilling and/or burning.

Mine looked the same as yours when I got it out.

Have you got the outer metal from the bushing out yet? I used a reciprocating saw to cut it part way, then had to pry it out with a screwdriver and a pry bar.

You have to measure the ID after you get the metal part of bushing out. From what I've found it's either 1 1/2'' or 1 3/4'' ID unless you have something custom.
