Rebuilding a Steering Column
Hey everyone, i got a bit of an issue. last night i had my truck broken into, and the guy went to town on my steering column ripping the signal/ cruise control arm right out off the column (still hanging on by the cruise control wires) smashed off the casing of the upper arm surrounding the signal/cruise control switch, ripped whatever was attached to the end of the ignition cylinder, and broke off the metal housing above the end of the ignition. I would really like to fix it. The truck is a late model 1992 Blazer S 2wd 4door/with cruise control, abs, p/s and tilt steering. my haynes manual only shows disassembly down to the wall which holds the ignition lock cylinder screw and they only show disassembly for a solid steering column. any help or advice would be appreciated. will post photos tomorrow
Check these out. There's a bunch of stuff on the web about this. Just do a search.
