Default Replacing ball joint.

Hey all, just had a quick question.
I'm getting ready to replace my passenger side lower ball joint. Now, the part I bought is the ball joint loaded into a top plate with a hole cut out for the grease nipple. The write-up in the tech articles was helpful for the removal of the ball joint, but I wanted to know if after it's all removed if I need to "press" the ball joint into place, or if the plate that the ball joint came with is the part it needs to be pressed into. If so, I'd imagine I need a ball joint press, no? Or am I overthinking this and it just needs to be bolted into the old rivet holes?

Upper ball joint is bolted where the rivets were, lower ball joint is removed and installed with a ball joint press.

What's the vehicle we are talking about here...? Please always provide your vehicle information. From your other posts, I can see that you have a 2003 4wd truck. Both the upper and lower ball joints are riveted in stock and replacements will bolt in.
