But I fell this is a bit overkill. And I also have a feeling it's going to be WAAAAY overpriced... probably be able to swap in a solid axle for what they're going to ask...

My opinion, if you want the front diff more reliable, swap in a Bravada tube and that'll get rid of the vacuum disconnect junk. If you keep exploding your IFS diff, then it's time to swap in a solid axle anyhow :P The only upside I see to this is being able to add a locking diff while keeping IFS

i never had issues with the differential section of my s10, i used to wheel a stock 85 s10 with 35s and it would snap cv joints anytime you barely turned the wheel offroad. straight line was fine
