I will install Premium Gas ChargedAC Delco 530157 (GM-88945325) rear shocks and Premium Gas Charged AC Delco 530158 (GM-88945326)front shocks on my 1991 S10 Blazer 4WD - 4 door. They fit both 4WD and RWDvehicles (w/o off road suspension) and cost about $175.00 for a set of four.

I willdo that in May2009 for the summer driving season. My present shocks are still in good condition and the only reason I will replace them is that they are the original equipment shocks, dirty and will be 18 years old next year. Even ifshocksshow no signs of leakage or road damage, and are more than 15 years old, they should bereplaced. Shocks wear out so graduallythat you never know how bad they were until you replace them.

Those also fit you 1997 Blazer.

The superlift shocks i posted are new scratch and dent sale items, i got 4 new 6 inch lift shocks for lifted blazers with boots for $40.00 shipped. A coat of fresh paint is all they need. These retail for about $144 minus shipping. Great deal on good shocks if i say so

Since you arean automobile mechanic, you should know that theshock absorber extended length and compression length must fit your vehicle or the shocks will be partially ineffective.

Monroe Sensa-Trac 37099 (front) and 37921 (rear) are identicaltothe AC Delco 530-158 and 530-157.Monroe Sensa-Tracs were first introduced onChevrolet S10/S15 Blazers in 1991 byAC Delco. NAPA sells Monroe Sensa-Trac shock absorbers.

Monroe makes AC Delcoand Rancho shocks, among others.

These shocks are not for Blazerswithoff-road package or lift kits.

I installed Pro Comp ES3000's on the front and ES1000's on the back of my 01 4x4. Havent been offroad with it yet, it handles potholes and railroad crossings like a champ now. I replaced the the stock bilstein's, apparently 80k is well past the life expectancy on stock shocks.

Make sure you get the rebate form for them. Monroe is offering a mail in rebate on shocks/struts. 4 shocks-$20, 2 shocks 2 struts-$40, 4 struts-$60. $20 back is almost like getting the 4th free.
