Default Speedometer revved to 100 & will not drive

I have a 2002 blazer with 4wd and there was a noise that sounded like metal on metal scraping (kinda hard to describe). Heard it around 25mph and higher but when I took foot off gas it would cease. While driving it something went and my speedometer flew up past 100 (not rpm) but I could not accelerate. Basically it revved as if I was in neutral even though vehicle was in drive. Any ideas?
Also when the tow driver dropped it in my driveway and proceeded to leave the vehicle started rolling down after him (still in park). He just pushed it back and put e brake on.
