steering issues

Exclamation steering issues

new to the forum and in desperate need of some help. my steering seems to float left and right and its not as responsive as it should be. any clue as to what might be causing the issue?

check your tie rods, pitman arm ,idler arm rag joint on steering shaft. could be a number of things but start here

Yup I would lift the truck up and see if you can move the tires Hands at 9 and 3 and 12 and 6 move it back and forth if theres any play have someone look behind the wheel and see whats moving those are the parts that need to be changed out if theres any road noise sould chance it could be a wheel hub too they also make play in the steering ..last would be rag joint adjustment which is a nut and a allen key ..Loosen the nut and a very small 1/8 turn of the key clockwise and close the nut again best to have a mech do it
