Well I worked a little more on the Blazer tonight. I took the encoder motor out and hooked it up to a battery and we could make the gears move in both directions. I put the gears in the middle of the 1/4 gear that drives the transfer case. I hooked the electrical back up to the truck, and the dash switch showed 2WD. I then touched the 4Hi button, and we could see the encoder motor move and the switch on the dash showed the light on for 4Hi. I then touched the 2WD button, and the encoder motor didn't move and the light stayed on 4Hi. So do I assume that the transfer case module is faulty? What shifts the electrical to that encoder motor?

What about the vacuum switch? I did not read all to see if you replaced that?

I purchased a vacuum switch, but I guess the 4 button dash switch does not have a vacuum switch on the Tcase. Mine has a plug where the vacuum switch is located. Now I do have a vacuum switch in the middle of the firewall that the vacuum line goes to the vacuum canaster that is under the battery. But we know that that vacuum canaster works, and we have installed a new cable from that canaster to the front Tcase.

Did you try to remove the TCCM, clean connections with electrical cleaner, and lube with dielectric grease? I understand this has worked for some.

I did removed the TCCM and there was some corrosion on the smaller connector (the black connector) and I did clean it off with some contact cleaner and then put some dielectric grease on both connectors.

The other thing that we noticed is that when we were trying to shift the Tcase manually we could only find 2 positions. With the 4 button dash switch should we have 2 or 3 positions that the Tcase should be able to shift into?
