Ok So I have the 95 4 door wit hthe stock axle (don't know what gears it has in it) But I was wondering if I find the axle of a Zr2 if I could take the gears out of that and swap it into my differential. You're probably wondering why would I do that if I can just swap the axles out, well with the wheels I have they stick out pretty far and if I get the Zr2 axle under it they will stick out almost all the out, and I don't want to have to hunt down new wheels. So anyway, what kind of work will have to be done? Will the Zr2 gears work with the stock axle shafts currently in my truck? If I am completely crazy for doing this say so and I'll consider just doing the whole axle swap.
P.S. I do know I will have to change the front differential as well.

i think i understand what you are saying. I dont think the rings and pinion will fit. And the whole rear end will be wider. you could swap the whole rear, then get a different set of rear rims with the right backspacing to make it look right.

You have a 7.5" rear end, ZR2's have a 8.5" rear end. So no, you can't swap gears between the two.
Some normal blazers did come with an 8.5" rear end, so you could try finding one of those and then swap to 3.73 gears to keep the width down. I think if it was a standard transmission it was more likely to come with it. blaz's blazer is bare bones for options and is a standard and came with a 8.5
