TCase bearing squeal
#1
So made a post earlier, and have since located the noise I was hearing to the transfer case, nearly certain a bearing squeal noise, just curious as to why and how this noise would have only happened after my front end job (front end very slightly lower than before, just put it back to where it was today) and why it would only happen after 5 minutes of driving, never happens cold. Also no issues with it, no jumping gears, no issues in and out if 4x4 and no other signs of a failing transfer case

it happens at dead stops, full stops when in drive. And the case does leak from output shaft seal, but not enough to run dry, I check it often, and have never had it low. Using auto track 2 it's good and clean, transmission fluid is a but dark. Changing it this weekend, but not dark enough to cause concern, but clearly should be done as I know these older 4L60's need a little extra love. Shifts smooth 4x4 still works. I'm just perplexed on what it could be

Pull the driveshaft and see if the U joints are binding.
I once had a Plymouth that did similar and the U joints were seizing up.
If that shaft has the double cardan joint it is rebuildable, I did it on both my 78 Blazer front shaft and 95 S10 rear shaft but its not easy.
