Trying to change hub bearings, rust?

My '79 K5 recently started making a horrid twangy noise from the front driver's side, I made sure roater was disconnected from the axle, spun it, and sure enough there was a slight grind and it didn't spin very long. So I've got the manual Warn locking hubs the previous owner installed out, including the bolt that took the awkward 4-pronged socket to get off. So now I'm to the point where I have to get the part that has the studs in it off (I've heard it called dust-shroud, dunno what its really called), but after breaking a screw driver, dulling an old railroad spike, bending the foot on a crow bar and bending the actual piece I'm trying to get off by putting a block of wood on it and hitting it with a sledge, I dunno what else I could do. Maybe I'm missing something, maybe its just rusted to hell. I don't have much room to hit it under my fender, but what I have done has still bent it through the wood.
So 3 days later, I've put an entire can of PB Penetrating Oil on this one part, and still no give, and no one I know seems to know anything about it. I would gladly appreciate any insight ya'll might have.
