Ok guys what brand and where would you buy new ujoints for you 97' 4x4blazer and someone told me there are 6 the one kn the drive shaft in rear end is bad.

there is 4.

Just pick some up from advance or napa etc. ive never really noticed a difference in quality with u joints..

Have fun installing them...darn nylon..

Well, there ARE differences. number/size of needles for one. More/smaller is GENERALLY better. And that usually equates to hardness of the cup and shaft surfaces.
Moog is always pretty safe bet.

Never buy the cheapest ANYTHING. Unless you're just selling it anyway.

Oh, and dont forget to check the lube in the cups. Be careful taking them apart so needles stay in place - practice on the old ones - but NEVER take for granted there's enough lube in there. Esp the cheaper ones, but check ANY brand.

There's enough lube if the needles are almost totally embedded in it and enough clinging on the shaft to make up the difference.
Add lube by putting a pearl sized dollop on end of shaft then sticking all the way in cup and rotate several times.

don't forget to curse multiple times until you can finally get the original ones out....

Ok will cuse it out, and buy hard good joints because i love my blazer and will grease everything really really well i will pickup a torch to melt the old out.

Oh and just to prewarn you,once you get the nylon really hot,its going to make a POP sound. thats the nylon telling you its cooked.

Just pick em' up at Auto Zone, get the "Gold Series", they're fairly cheap and guaranteed for life!

Ok boys picked them up at napa. Got the shaft off and that burger did not want to give holy #%_( but finally got it am now putting back together you guys are the best thanks
