Default In the weeds

Hello to you all. Got a question
Has any one here used the lowering block kits tolower their Blazer. The reason I ask is I have a kit to do this but am unsure about how they perform in an every day driver
ie) clearance problems, spring wind up etc. The kit is 2'. I'de appreciate some feedback as to wether its worth the effort to have the lookand sacrifice drivability. She's a 92 Blazer Tahoe 2WD.
Thanks
Nigel

The block kits work just fine, it's a cheap alternative to using lowering leaf springs in the back. All it does is put 2" of metal between the axle and the leaf spring which essentially pushes the axle up and lowering the body. I installed 2" drop blocks on the back of an '01 Bravada and owner has not complained about decrease in driveability. One thing I do recommend that he did not do is to get drop shocks to match however much you're lowering it.

How do you plan on lowering the front?

I've got shorter springs and super bell shocks. Theulterior motive for doing this is this is that I bought some 18'ARE wheels and I'm dying to fit them.

Ask and you shall recieve LOL take a look at my pics so you can see mine hammered out with 18's. I lowered mine 4inches front and rear and it rides fine and handles even better now. I didn't use drop shocks at all just drop blocks in the rear and I cut my springs up front, and it rides oh so nice plus did I mention it handles like a sports car now LOL any other questions just ask and I will answer them all for you!!!! By the way welcome to the forum!!!

Thanks for that thegr81
Loved thepix not sure if I can go that low. Here inLondon sleeping policemen are a fact of life so if I don't want to lose my undercarrage I may have to keep to 2' or I might use wider higher profile rubber. The rims are brand new 8' rear and 7' front, thought I might go 285/40x18' and 225/45x18' respectively. Gotta tell ya I've been to Phoenix twice stayed in Glendalehad a pal in the military there, greatplace had good fun. He's got a 63 Vette Mmmm nice and full size Tahoe. I'll take you up on the questions n answers over the coming weeks if thats OK and thanks
