Default What is this broken piece called?

Changing hub assemblies today, I noticed this piece broken (broken away at the bottom). What's the name for it so I know what to ask for at the auto parts place?

Always something on this old truck. 98 Blazer FWD.

Thanks for the help. If it's not one thing, it's another with the Blazer. The engine and transmission are sound, but I swear the previous owner had a mission to hit every pot hole he could find.
