Default Where is the steering box located?

I might need to adjust something on the steering box to help the steeing, which has about an inch of play, but I have no idea where it is. Where is it?

There is nothing you can adjust on the box to get rid of play. There's one adjusting screw on their but it doesn't fix play

Yeah you will want to find the steering linkage parts that have play in them and replace. Check the joint on the shaft beside your exhaust manifold too.

There's a hex bolt that can make you're steering stiffer not really get rid of the play

To find the steering play- jack up the front of the truck and support it on jack stands.

Wobble one tire back and forth whiel watching the ball joints, tie rod ends, etc. Then wobble the other tire and watch. If you cant find the problem, take it in someplace and get a free estimate. get a copy of the estimate and the parts being replaced.
