Exclamation Whining noise?

Today I was pulling out of my drive way and rolled about about 10 feet and put it in Overdrive(the overdrive DRIVE gear. my dad says it gives me better city gas mileage) from reverse. I was still rolling backwards slowly. So I'm going down the road a few minutes later and begin to hear this terrible whining, scrapping sound coming from my right front tire. Can anyone shed light on this?

I looked under the car and saw no problems. I think something is scraping the rim.

If you want your transmission and drivetrain to last, you don't want to do that. Make sure the vehicle has stopped moving before changing the gear from reverse to forward and vice versa.

Could possibly be something between the mud/debris shield and the brake rotor.
