You've never driven east bound when the sun is coming from behind you? 3 pm in early spring time... besides, i wasn't driving, this was my buddy with his Exploder and i saw the statie that pulled me over about 30 seconds after he said he flipped his light on

That I can relate to. What you posted earlier wasn't adding up.

To the OP, I'd say if you were going to get a ticket for the speeding you would have gotten pulled over. Main time you get speeding tickets mailed to you is from speed/red light cameras, at least from my experinces and what people have shared with me. 9-10 you got his-her attention and they followed to see if your background and the vehicle was clean and they let it slide. Who knows maybe they let you slide cause they liked the ZR-2!

And MTopper, I can't say that it is "stupid" to get a citation for not yeilding for a police or emergency vehicle. That is just common sence, like if such vehicle is pulled off the side of the road you merge into the left lane when you pass the scene.

I'm not bashing the radio, cause I've got a stereo that rattles the ceiling at the carwash, lol. But take some procautions so that you can be alerted to the emergncy vehicles. Radar detector if legal. (If not, mount it in the grill and run a light into the cab.) Rearview camera wired to run as long as the car is running. Agian not bashing or anything, just saying. If a loved one was in a ambulance, and they passed away because someone didn't yeild and slowed the drive to the hospital, would you think the citation would be stupid or deserved?

Sorry to get sidetrack just thought I'd throw that in. Agian I don't intend to offend anyone and apoligise if I have.

i'm not saying that the citation was stupid, he deserved it flat out. i'm just saying the wording of it was stupid.. i agree that its completely deserved, i have never complained about any tickets i've received, i actually shook the cops hand who got me for doing 82 in a 70.

I hear ya. I just took it wrong. I'm the same way, I thank officers that cite me for infractions espically if I wasn't aware of the speedlimit or whatever the case is. I just get mad when a guy gets a ticket for not yeilding or disturbing The peace near a hospital and they think it's uncalled for. Yeah, but they can word it and make it seem like it was a federal offence or something.
Ok I'm done thread jacking... So did the op ever get a mailed ticket or is everything gravy?
