Went back to the track last night 15.935@84.57
Thunder Road Raceway Park in Gilliam, LA. IHRA Certified.
I was having traction issues leaving the line for most of the night. Out of 15 runs, 3 or 4 were ok. The best was
15.935 @ 84.57
60'......2.266
330'....6.568
1/8.....10.155
MPH....68.78
1/4.....15.935
MPH....84.57
90% of the runs I had to get out of it and get back in so my 60's were crap...and that made the whole run crap. I'm guessing they didn't do much track prep b/c there was only like 50 people there and about 10 were actually racing. It rained part of the day yesterday so no one showed up last night.

That's with a 2wd? What gears do you have? AT or MT?
Not a bad time IMHO. I dont know what the rest of your 60ft's looked like but a 2.2 is pretty respectable. My old GTP would still pull a mid 14 out of a 2.2, so I'd say it's a pretty respectable launch.

2wd on bald 255/60/15 BFG Radial TA's. I can usually leave around 1800-2k rpm all day long at the track and pull mid to low 2.2 60's, but it was rough the other night. It may have had something to do with the fact that only 2 or 3 cars were running slicks and laying rubber down. Oh well. I'll be back out there next weekend. Still trying to get back down to or better than the 15.883 that I ran on the last day of last season.

What kind of drag strip do you go to for that sort of thing? How do i find one of those in my area? What class do you race in? Is your Blazer a 4.3L? And do you have to wear a helmet and all that when you race?

BFGoodrich Radial T/A. And Uniroyal Tiger Paws seem to be really popular tires on 2wd Blazers.
I haven't been drag racing in my blazer yet, but I have some issues with it right now I need to fix first.
