Default 1st gen w NASTY RUBBING

OK so yesterday I installed new shocks in the front, did a Tbar crank, installed 1.5" shackle lift in the rear and got my 30x9.5x15 tires on my crager soft 8s (cant remember the backspacing off hand). I backed out the driveway and turned the wheel and had MASSIVe rubbing. I removed the OE fender flares and trimmed as much of the rear of the fender well as I could and the tires actually rub against the bolt heads int he wheel well.

My questions are:

1: will a simple 2" body lift solve my problem
2: has anyone with a first gen been in my shoes and what have you done to fix the problem.

I am sure that Tim (hanr3) will chime in. He has a 1st gen wearing larger shoes, but I believe he is on stock rims.

The soft 8's are available in two different back spacing IIRC. If you got the 4.5" back spacing, you should not be having too much trouble, but I think the other option was 3.75" BS which may be what you have... You might want to pop off a rim and measure it.

you shouldn't be rubbing i have a 1 gen with stock supension but have air shocks in the rear still sitting at factory stance though with 31 x 10.50 on all fours mud kings in rear and wild country a/t's up front and it barely rubbs the sway bar even when fully flexed out i am sittin on stck rims too but i have another with a 3 inch boody lift and it really helps with the rubbing it even has 2wd rims on itand doesn't rubb
