Default 2' body lift

is there any other way to lift a blazer 2' without getting a body lift kit? a friend said he had a shackle lift on the back and turned some kind of rod to lift the front. any ideas?

Yes, you can do that. Your friend is referring to the "torsion bars" on the front. Use the SEARCH function at the top of the screen and search "torsion bars" or "torsion crank". This topic has been discussed hundreds of times and Jigg did a 'Do It Yourself' on how to crank your torsion bars including pictures.

Depends really on which kit you get.
For Example my PA kit required some cutting in the rear bumper brackets.

and as far as posting to an old thread about a 2 inch lift... at least he looked first.

Be sure to take your fan shroud apart before you start lifting... Actually be sure to read through the instructions before you do anything.
