Your question is very subjective. Some people like their tires to stick way outside the fenders, and get very low backspacing wheels. Others like to keep as close to factory specs as possible so they maintain normal wear and driving characteristics, and there's a whole range in between. What type of look and function are you going for? I'd suggest you browse through the build section to find a Blazer that has the look you're trying to achieve and then pick a similar build style.
You also need to let us know if you have a 2 door or 4 door Jimmy, if it's a 4x4 or 2wd, if it's a ZR2, and what size tires you want to use, etc.

i was looking to just wident the stance a little bit but keep it looking nice, nothing crazy wide just a few inches or so, i was gonna keep with stock tires 235-75-15 but maybe get 31`s sometime, wasnt sure how wheel spacers and the backspacing affected all of it,

Wheel spacers will widen your stance, as will lower backspaced rims. If you are getting new rims don't bother with the spacers and just get rims with less backspacing. If you have a 4x4 then the stock backspacing is 6". Lots of people put 2wd rims on cause they have 4.5" backspacing which gives it the wider stance. Many aftermarket rims will have around 4.5" of backspacing too.

Take a look at mine, i've got just that setup, 2.5 inch RC lift and 2" /side rear spacers 1"/side front spacers... Std wheels and 31x10.5 tires (mounted they measure just under 32"

For my 2" lift (see details below) I decided I did not want to tempt fate too much by only installing 1.25" spacers on the rear. Looking at my front end last weekend, I did notice that a thin spacer on the front with the RC upper control arms might prevent the inside of my stock rims from touching the sides of the upper control arms when they are deflected fully down (i.e. when there is no load on the suspension) and the wheels are turned to full stop with the steering wheel.
BTW, the choice of the 1.25 spacers was to "square up" the stance by bringing the rear tires out to about the same point as the front.
