I new to lifting vehicles so I don't know what all it entails. I'm looking at starting out small since I'm on a college budget. What are the differnce between shakle and adding a leaf and what would u recommend is the best bang for your buck?

 

you can do a shackle and torsion bar lift for around 100.00 that will give you
2inches in the rear and 1.5 in the front. about as cheap as you can get.
add a leaf will do the same...but i think that most do the shackle lift.

check the lifting section...all you need to know will be there.

 

I heard the torsion bar lift can ruin ur front suspension?

 

Only if you go more then 1.5"above stock height.
I had that setup for years prior to my suspension lift...never had anything fail prematurely.

 

I heard if u do u will need a alignment is that true for the shackles in the rear

 

no...alignment issue only comes from messing with the front end. if you lift the rear i cant see how it would affect alignment in the front steering

When getting shakles or add a leaf lifts do i have to get Zr2 specfic ones or not?

 

no, just need to be for the correct spring width
