ProComp ES3000's
#1
So I bought two sets of Pro Comp ES3000 shocks for my blazer and my wife's. Reason being, the stock ones were limiting rear articulation with my lift shackles. I installed them in the rear and afterwards I found that the rear was riding 1/4 lower than before. I'm assuming this is due to the ProComps not being sprung like the stock ones. This isn't a problem in the rear, but up front, my keys are already cranked all the way so I could get a solid 1 1/2 inches of lift. Apparently my T-bars are really worn out. I need every little bit I can get to clear my 31x10.5's. So, should I go ahead and put them on up front too? Or should I replace them with some high quality sprung ones? Is it possible that I had to crank the T-bars as much as I did because the front shocks are shot? When I replaced my ball joints, I disconnected my passenger shock so I could play with my CV axle. I do not remember it being half as stiff as the rear ones I took off. Any input would be great.

So your going to have a lower stance up front and your probably going to rub because of it. Sounds like start trimming or buy some other shocks. My ranchos I think lowered mine also like you are saying. Do you think these new shocks gave you that much more articulation?

Yeah, I've decided to keep OE shocks up front. The ProComp's travel an extra inch and a half or so. Translates to just enough articulation for me =)
