Keys are what the torsion bas slides into under the drivers seat. There should also be a bolt under the key, crank it up some. Altough this will change your alignment, stiffer your suspension and put more strain on your cvs.

Sorry to thread jack but this topic just reminded me of a question. To lower a 4 wheel drive blazer could you use springs to lower the front or do you have to use the torsion keys to do that type of thing.

yea dont worry about it---i got her figured out---my truck is lifted about 1.25' up front now. rides and looks way better! [8D] i would assume you could back off the torsion key bolts to and extent--but your ride will get softer--i would go with indexed keys (i would but im saving for bigger wheels and tires first--then its a 3 inch lift )

Yuo have to use the torsion keys. 4wd s10 blazers dont have front springs.

I just dropped my 4X4 3.5"-4" in front and 5" in the back. Used 4" blocks in the back and I ride a set of GABRIEL air shocks so when deflated gives me about 5" in the back. For the front, installed a pair of Nitro-Drop shocks, removed the torsion key bolt and block (for those of you who know how a torsion key works) and I built a plate, welded on the crossmember under the torsion key, and installed a bolt through that new plate...fully adjustable suspension in the front from 1"-6"...

Here's a link to the plate system used on my Blazer, basically same thing as the kit I used but mine is homemade... much easier that flipping your torsion key or replacing with aftermarket key...I basically did mine...for FREE. Just used scrap 3/8" metal plate, welded to crossmember, drilled and tapped, then used a 7/16" Grade 8 bolt to lift the stock torsion key to desired height...

I am riding 2001 Camaro SS wheels 17X9...I do have all 4 wheels, I just got a blowout on one of the back tires...new tires coming VERY shortly. The front is a bit too low for me right now...I am sitting on the bumpstop (or whatever is left of the 1/2" I didn't cut off). I will be lifting it up about 1" or so just so I have no wheels gap, otherwise it rides real rough and I have mad camber and my new tires won't last!

Thanks! it does look good but it rides rough. I will be taking care of that shortly! I'll lift the front about 1" and replace the destroyed bump stops and the ride will be a lot better. I'll put 1" bumpstops instead of the like 4" factory ones!
