Default U Joints

I have to replace my U-Joints. Are the OEM U-Joints the best to use? I understand they now have grease fittings?
Thanks...

For stock application, pretty much any serviceable (greaseable) u-joint will last as long if not longer than the stock units. You just have to remember to get under there and actually grease them. I have never been let down with Napa U-Joints even in our farm trucks that get used and abused.

Thanks for the info. I'll shop for prices this weekend. My buddy works at a GM dealership & said he can get me his discount or I'll look at Napa or PartSource.

Moon, which ones? front rear of drive shaft?

I replaced both when the rear U joint (nearest to the rear diff,) got some slop in it.

Well, I'm actually just guessing that I need them by how my truck has been acting lately. I haven't looked to see if I actuay DO need them, I just have suspected it.

Some clunking sounds could be eminating from the door hinge pins, hood or the U joints

I have to change the front pass side door hinge pins and the same side hood washers.

There will be some play in the shaft.

You said "play" and "shaft" in the same sentence[sm=icon_rofl.gif]

Anyway.....I'm getting that "play" in the shaft, that's why I suspected it.

I'm going to price 'em out at NAPA.
