Default 2000 Blazer LS Question

Hey everyone, my dad gave me his blazer before going on a tour to Iraq. I was looking at getting some off-road tires and some soft 8's.. Do you know what the maximum size tire i can put on without cranking the Torsion bars or putting a lift kit on it? I read somewhere that I could put on some 31s without any mods since this is the 4x4 model, if I have to I wouldn't mind adding a body lift but I would like to put the money into some other things. I would appreciate any help.

Thanks in advanced.

The biggest you can put on while keeping it stock height is 30", and with a 2" body lift you can run 31's but you'll probably have to do some trimming of the fenders

Okay, thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. You can run 30's with no rubbing right?
