2004 2 door 2wd tire size question
Yes, I searched... and I'm overly tired of searching for 2wd tire size questions because EVERYTHING is about 4x4 blazers.
I just bought a 2004 2 door 2wd blazer ls and I would like to get larger tires/wheels.
1) What's the largest and widest size without lifting (not an option, wife has to be comfortable getting in/out)
2) What do you do about discrepancy in speed/mileage?
3) It has the stock 15" wheels/tires... would 1/2" spacers work (and look ok) until I can find wheels/tires?
Thanks... and take it easy on a suv noob...

No idea. But, I have 235/75-15's on my '02 2wd and they rubbed the frame and sway bar at full lock.
I ran about 2-3mph slower, as indicated on the speedo, just to make sure I wasn't going too far over the speed limit. I eventually bought a tuner and changed the tire size setting.
I doubt you'll be able to tell that you installed the .5" spacers. You'll have to get longer wheel studs as the stock ones won't allow you to have enough thread left to secure the wheel safely.

Thanks for the input guys.
Next question, while in pepboys looking for some floor mats, I saw these wheels:

They have them in 15" x 8" for $50 roughly (8" wide wheels will work with stock tire sizes right?)... but I can't find the backspace and offset of these wheels... I can probably find it online with enough time, but what is the offset and backspacing on the stock 04 2wd 15" wheels? I think I read 6" backspacing and +42mm offset... does that sound correct?

Not a bad looking rim really but what are the chances they are gonna have the 4.75 bolt pattern that we will need? Might even be tempted to jump the ditch to get a set for that price, even with the exchange rate

They are the 2nd wheel listed:

They specifically say Blazers on their site...
