I live in the "dirty south," I'm exempt from that rule. We sometimes call Camaro's down here "Maro's" and even Toyota's "Yota's." I don't see the big deal. I don't do it all the time, but I say it like that to people down here in the country because they know what I'm saying. It is just slang, not about being lazy, just giving something you own a nickname. No harm in that. And yes I do have a college education and yes I also know how to spell. Most people would say I'm efficient on the keyboard as well. Don't be quick to judge that I'm ignorant or lazy because that "ain't" the truth at all.

By your theory you're in the wrong too calling a Chevrolet a "Chevy." Just my .02.

I didn't just take a freeze frame and post it on facebook! Any ways I wanted to be original with these rims. Obviously that isn't going to happen so....CRAGAR SOFT 8'S like everyone else.

Tibby, that post wasn't directed at you per say, but take it however you like. You do bring up some points for discussion. Regardless of ones background, schooling, accomplishments, etc in real life; the impression you make through your writing online can paint a completely different picture.

At least that is one that has been around for almost as long as the brand and makes sense by cutting the length of the word in half.

And this epitomizes what is wrong with the current generation of up & coming "adults".

Gotcha, I wasn't trying to start a flame war or an argument but instead explain my situation and why I call certain things a nickname. I know some people think it's stupid or lazy, but people down here aren't your average common "joe" lol. I'll stop using the whole 'Maro thing if it gets on peoples nerves or offends someone.

They might be okay for a stock truck, but to have those on a lowered truck is nearly impossible because of the width of the rim and the backspacing. If you put spacers on 'em to clear the frame and sway bar, then you have to worry about them sticking out past the fender. And on a lowered truck, you can't have 'em sticking out past the fender.
