Default Anyone with 18" rims on a 4x4? Suggestion on tires size?

Alright, I've been going on a shopping spree for my Blazer lately. Now I'm thinking about getting some tires for these 18" rims that are in my garage. I did have some 255/55/18 tires on them in the picture. But at that time I had no lift at all, and I did have to do some trimming on the front fender. Now I have 31's on stock rims, with no rubbing issues (1.5torsion lift, and overload springs in back).
I know my 255's were really wide, and also the rims w/adapters are equal backspacing to a 2wd. So I found some 245/60/18 tires which come out alittle over 1/2 an inch taller and 1/2 narrower. Anyone have any other suggestions on a tire size that would be taller but not too wide? If the rims would sit where my stockers do I wouldn't have any issues running a wide/tall tire.

Well, I researched some. The 255/55/18's I had a stock height only required trimming because of the width of the tires. So I used my calculator and came up with these sizes:
225/60/18=28.6in tall x 8.9in wide
245/60/18=29.6in tall x 9.6in wide
235/65/18=30in tall x 9.3in wide
255/65/16=31.1in tall x 10 wide
(all on an 8in wide rim)

So, I'm thinking since I have turned the torsion bars up and I definately can't go wider than 10" on the tire width. I think I'm going to shop around for some used 245/60/18's. My 31's actually measure out 30" tall inflated. So the 18" tires will be a bit narrower, but I think that will help me even more from rubbing since the rims stick out a bit. Looks like I've found a cheap set of Michelin's on ebay already on the 245/60 size.

18x8 AmericanRacing phantoms with 255/55r18 terra Grapplers

Had some rubbing issues but after I cranked up the t-bars it was OK

I would have posted pics here too but I'm on the wrong machine

That's what size tire I had on these rims before when I bolted them on my blazer for a short time (tires were bad). The local tire store actually has a full set of used nitto terra grappler's 255/55/18 for $90/each. But I already have brand new 31x10.5 all terrains on my stock rims (wife would kill me spending more than $200 on another set of tires. LOL!). I'm going to call up me tire shop and see if they have time to mount some tires if I find some there. I know I can clear 255/55/18's with ease now.(I've already trimmed everything.) But if I go taller I will definately have to stay under 10 inch section width. It's the very corner of the tire that rubbed the rear of the front fender/running board when turning lightly. We'll see what happens.... I don't have much else to do to my blazer except a body lift. But I'm staying steady at 17-18mpg right now, and I can live with that.
Oh, by the way... In case you don't hear it enough. I'm jealous of your flares!

Got a sweet deal at my local tire store! $140 for for 1/2 tread goodyear fortera's 245/60/18/ Came up to being almost exactly 30" tall x 9.5" wide. Exactly what my 31x10.5x15 measure out. And a reminder to anyone using a tire calculator like what I use. Not every brand tire comes out to be the same size. So, make sure to take a tape measure along and physically measure tires. I'm going to put pics in the "what have you done to your blazer" thread. If anyone needs close up pics just let me know.
